I’m not feeling great today (aww poor me) so this is just a super quick round up. Not entirely sure how I feel about the Damien Hurst work for the cover of the Hours record; it’s not awful but is that the best I can say for it? Can anyway say better; tell me why it’s a good cover? Probably not.

The Juan Maclean album displays a very unsubtle modernism but I’m a sucker for that shade of grey used in the imagery.

The Black Monks album is one of the finest albums you could ever own; they’re were all former GIs and after being discharged shaved their heads and became the Monks. Incredible simple chugging melodies that inspired many artists over the years. My understanding is that re-issue contains interviews and statements from artists such as Radiohead & Faust bigging up the record. Given the music and the sixties in general how understated is the artwork? Excellent.
