These stand out like sparkling diamonds in a sea of turd. Why is it so hard for record labels to put albums out with attractive artwork? I know they have to fulfil certain criteria the biggest of which means it must favour being picked up by your average shopper in Tesco but that doesn’t mean we should be faced with soulless mediocrity.
The above image, Speck Mountains – Some Sweet Relief, is very bleak and offers a poor example to my above complaint but that’s not to say it’s a great looking album cover.

This on the other hand is very far from bleak. An explosion of colour with a name and album title that’ll be sure to make them impossible to find on torrent sites.
Also Portugal the Man is out this week.
