One of my favourite ever bands are releasing a new album at the end of the month and the new artwork, as you can see, is great. Interesting they’ve gone the illustrated route this time.

They have gone the illustrated route the last two LPs before this one as well. The art style looks the same on all three; maybe the same artist. I don’t like these newer album covers as much the deloused and frances ones. I don’t like the cartoon-ish look of them and they don’t seem very inspired. Frances is my favorite.
The artist is Jeff Jordan. He has done the album art from Amputechture through Octahedron. The old artist was Storm Thorgerson, who did the majority of the Pink Floyd album covers. He did both Deloused and Frances. Frances is definitelly my favorite. Bedlam is second and Amp third. I enjoy Jeff Jordan’s work alot. It reminds me alot of the old King Crimson album covers.
I prefer Storm’s artworks overall but I really like Jeff Jordan’s art direction with the newer albums. I have them all as 12inch vinyl’s and they look a million times better than on the CDs.
